By i.kandola 14/02/2012
Happy Valentines Day!
Here is a wonderful poem from Robert Holden, written and shared for the first time last week.
Robert will be joining us for workshop here on the 11th of April – Shift Happens with Robert Holden
Disappearing into Love
When they ask you what is your
religion, tell them that it is
love.
And if they ask you what is your
politics, tell them that it is
also love.
If they ask you what that means,
you can tell them your
philosophy is love.
If they want to know anything
else about you, tell them your
favourite occupation is
loving.
And don’t forget to tell them
that your nationality is
love.
And that even your blood
group Is love.

HEALTH – A delicious raw chocolate recipe by Luna
By i.kandola 10/02/2012
A guilt free, delicious recipe for raw chocolate truffles by the wonderful Luna Carreno. Luna’s Raw Chocolates are available in the Alchemy Cafe while stocks last!
Vegan and raw food, no dairy, gluten and sugar to improve health and have more energy. They are simple, nutritious, quick to prepare and delicious.
The raw vegan diet is plant-based and basically includes raw fruits and vegetables, nuts and nut pastes , seeds, grain and legume sprouts, plant oils, herbs, and fresh juices -preferably organic. Organic produce, though more expensive, is much sweeter-tasting and healthier than non-organic. Switching to a raw vegan diet from the modern cooked diet can be a huge step and may produce a serious detox crisis so it is advisable to first take intermediate steps like going vegetarian or vegan and getting off of refined sugar and salt and other harmful or addictive chemicals. Bread, baked goods and flour or grain products in general are perhaps the most addictive foods of all. (more…)

Aquarius New Moon and Leo Full Moon – Guru Rattana
By Alchemy 08/02/2012
This Tuesday’s full Moon is in Leo with the Sun in Aquarius. It’s the sign of the artist, player and lover. Spontaneity is contagious, and this lunar culmination inspires everyone to express themselves freely. With the spirit of generosity in the air, each person’s uniqueness emerges, and is encouraged to shine.
Full Moon – 7th February
By Zoe Hind 07/02/2012
Full Moon – 18 degrees Leo
Mercury is paired with the Sun in Aquarius which indicates that unexpected flashes of brilliance may break old thought patterns and lead us down the rabbit hole to curious places.
Venus together with Uranus continues the Wonderland theme where a suspension of belief opens our neural pathways to new possibilities.
Neptune into Pisces – 4th February
By Zoe Hind 04/02/2012
This is the big story of early 2012. Neptune has not been in her home sign of Pisces for over 150 years. Like a giant tuning fork, Neptune helps us to feel into the vibrational universe and see into other dimensions. Pisces is a very spiritual sign and this timely homecoming will bring us all a boost of intuition, psychic abilities and generally a feeling of being tuned in. (more…)
I Ching for the week of January 30 by Bobby Klein
By i.kandola 01/02/2012
I have left my mind,
And have again found my heart,
Oh, that’s where you were.
#64Wei Ji Not quite finished
Above Li: radiance, fire; brightness that brings clarity and passion.
Below Kan: gorge, precipice, snare; taking risks; the danger of swift-flowing waters.
The Wisdom:
Oh, this puzzle of life.
As all the pieces begat by your commitment, love,
And tears begin to come together,
You still have fears and doubts.
No worries, no blame.
What will the future bring? you ask.

‘The Addictive Personality’ explained with Carolyn Cowan
By Alchemy 31/01/2012
I have been given the extraordinary privilege of teaching a class on the Addictive Personality on Tuesday afternoons and I have to say it is excellent.
I have taught three classes so far, one on fear, the next on depression and last week’s class was themed for anger issues. There is a lot of participatory discussion between us and then potent yoga with intention and a themed meditation. (more…)
